Chris Robeck

Game Design

I was contacted through Jarah Moesch to work as producer of an alternate reality game for the Smithsonian American Art Museum. I organized my own team of other students and worked with another producer to create strong narrative characters plan gameplay and created media to go along with the characters and the game. The game was successfully pitched to the Smithsonian where we received rave reviews. The game is still under some work and should be released at the museum soon.

For the past year I have been working with Kari Kraus and other professors in conjunction with NASA, Tinder Transmedia, and BYU to create an alternate reality game funded by the National Science Foundation aimed at getting kids invested in the sciences from a young age. I'm actually unable to divulge very much about the game at this point, but I can say that it has required me to work on advertising marketing, character creation, video narratives, social media and many other components. This was a wonderful project and I hope to be able to share more about this amazing experience when it releases later this year.
